Emergency Staging Sites (ESS) - Locations and Information

 Sweetwater County has 11 sites that can be used as staging locations for emergencies, fire, or other uses.  These locations have been surveyed using a hand-held GPS receiver and have been tabulated into PDF format, as listed below.  Rough , large scale maps and a link to the primary spreadsheet are also found below:

DadESS site 1 - The intersection of Hwy 789 and the Dad Rd.
Duck LakeESS Site 2 - 9 miles NW of Dad, on the Dad Rd.
EurekaESS Site 3 - Intersection of Eureka Headquarters Rd and Barrel Springs Rd.
Tin BarnESS Site 4 - SW on Barrel Springs Rd. approximately 10 miles.
8 MileESS Site 5 - The intersection of Hwy 789 and the Eight Mile Rd.
CountyESS Site 6 - On the Wamsutter Rd., at the intersection of Barrel Springs and Wamsutter Rd.
WamsutterESS Site 7 - In Wamsutter, at the intersection of McCormick and Swanson St., one block north of the Wamsutter School.
CrestonESS Site 8 - On the NW side of the RR overpass, approximately 1 mile S of Creston Junction.
LumanESS Site 9 - At the intersection of the Wamsutter/Crooks Gap Rd and the Luman Rd.

 Red Wash

ESS Site 10 - Approximately 10 miles N of I-80 on the Red Desert Rd.

 Tipton

ESS Site 11 - At the intersection of the Luman Rd and the Tipton Rd.
