| Welcome to the CBMCC staff page. It is our goal to serve the people of the State of Wyoming as information facilitators for the continuing process of Hydrocarbon Resource development. The stakeholders of the state are a large and varied group, including landowners, methane operators, public and federal agencies and anyone else who has an interest in the development of methane gas as a clean fuel resource. It is our mission to assist the flow of information from all sides of the issue and foster understanding by proactive engagement of all parties.
| EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Bjarne "Bj" Kristiansen Cell: (307) 751-4657 Email: bj.kristiansen@gmail.com  | Bj graduated from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois with his Bachelors degree in Geology in the spring of 1975. He worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a summer intern, assisting in the determination of the hydrogeology of large earthen dam projects in central Iowa. His career as a professional exploration geologist commenced in Sheridan, Wyoming in the Fall of that year. His first exposure to the coal geology of the state came immediately when he was assigned to “sit” a drill rig that was engaged in coal exploration in the major coal basins of Wyoming and Montana. Many really long days in the field followed... | Over the intervening years he has worked in the following exploration arenas:  | Coal exploration and developmental drilling - Was directly involved in logging over 15,000 bore holes and 300 water wells in Wyoming and Montana. | 
| Precious metals exploration – Supervised exploration for Gold, Silver and Platinum deposits in the Rocky Mountain and Western States. | 
| Coal Mine Development and Design – Assisted engineers with development of coal mines in Carbon, Sheridan, and Sweetwater Counties in Wyoming as well as Big Horn County, Montana. Supervised exploration programs and coal quality determination. Helped design pits and schedule heavy equipment. | 
| Operated as a landman, surveyor, systems administrator, and large-scale budget analyst during the past 30 years. |

Bj designed and supervised exploration programs in most of the Rocky Mountain States and has been registered as a professional geologist (WPG-787) in the State of Wyoming since the inception of professional licensing in 1992. He is also a certified coalmine foreman in the State of Montana and a certified substitute teacher in Wyoming. He has lived in Sheridan, Wyoming for 25 years. | WILDLIFE COORDINATOR Rachel Kristiansen Phone: (307) 672-8848 Email: rachel.krist@gmail.com  | Rachel graduated with her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Psychology/Biology in 2005 from Southampton College, Long Island University. She attended graduate school at the University of Southern Mississippi where she recieved her M.A. in Experimental Psychology in 2008. Her thesis was titled "Interspecific Interactions between Bottlenose Dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) and Tucuxi Dolphins (Sotalia guianensis) in Costa Rica." Rachel is most interested in animal social behavior and cognition. She has had experience studying bottlenose dolphins, tucuxi dolphins, spotted dolphins, roughtooth dolphins, humpback whales, and bushbabies. She is currently investigating the effects of energy development on Wyoming wildlife and the effects of wind energy development on the state as a whole.
